After the terrible bushfires around Christmas 2019, we are opening all our cabins public. Come and see the creative and inspirational building designs of Master Builder Lionel Bucket including the amazing Treehouse (winner best place in the world, Air BnB 2016) and Enchanted Cave (the most luxurious fire bunker in Australia)!

The landscape of our large eco-toursim retreat was burnt by the fire, but life is flourishing again. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the amazing Australian Bush transform after the fires. Don’t miss this chance to see and photograph the new growth and devastation of the burnt landscape as it changes.

Bushfire Ecology Tour with Wollemi Pine Planting

Join Tom from Hooked on Nature on a Bushfire Ecology Tour through the burnt landscape around Wollemi Cabins. Discover how the Australian ecosystem is specifically adapted to survive bushfires.

The tour leads down into our unburnt rainforest canyon where the tour group will celebrate the flourishing of new life by planting Wollemi Pine seedlings.

This tour is educational and entertaining and will let you experience the affects of bushfire devastation first hand.

A $15 admission fee helps cover the cost of the Wollemi Pines and supports bushfire affected workers in the Bilpin district.

Australian Native Wildlife Display

Get up close and personal with some memorable Australian Wildlife. Australian Native Displays specialise in the educational display of Australian native animals. These guy are the best in the business and will capture the wild imagination of kids and adults alike with their cute and crazy animals. This will be a highlight of the open day! Animals will be on display for photos throughout the day - all you need to do is turn up!

Take an exhilarating night-time tour into a hidden Blue Mountains Glow Worm Canyon! Turn off the lights and immerse yourself into a fascinating world of bio-luminescent discovery and wonder.

Bushfire Photography Exhibition

Extraordinary images from the frontline of the fire. See the incredible moments from the fire season captured by local Photographer Jochen Spencer who has spent the last 6 weeks documenting the bushfire situation around Bilpin.
